A better life

Dreaming of a better life

It’s not a fairytale to yearn for a better life or a happier life. This often comes when we’ve lived half our lives for others happiness.

When you meet someone and fall in love, you have dreams of an ever-lasting love. As time passes you by and your partner starts to change, that’s what so many think, you have changed, You are not the person they know and knew. It can be a struggle to feel free again. To dream and to want a better life for yourself.

I don’t feel that way at all. I feel people evolve into who they become and are in life. Your life experiences will start to mold you into a different person as you age.

Maybe when you got your wings and started to fly, you had dreams of that fairytale. A life that really doesn’t exist. Just a life you dreamed up. Everyone loving one another. Everyone being good toward one another and everyone respecting one another. No one will be harmful towards each other.

Relationships are complicated because we are all different. But what if you are the silent partner? The partner that’s happy, but lives to make others happier first. Now you want to break out of that mold and be your true self, but others cannot accept or see you without wondering why you’ve changed.

You haven’t changed, you’ve just kept your own happiness silent for too many years.  So how do you evolve now without others feeling like you no longer love or care about them? You be honest with yourself and them. You let them know about your silence. You share your dreams and needs, not just wants with them.

Sometimes people just jump off the cliff and do everything all at once, and sometimes people ease into their voice. Sometimes others will not be able to accept your voice and needs. That is okay, speak up anyways and try to find your happiness.

Some people are just happy never exploring their inner dreams. But if you feel trapped, you need to find a way to release yourself from your own silence. Imagine life without music. That is what living in silence can feel like. So, turn up the sound and find your step. Its okay to move in a new direction.
